Carry out practical conservation work in the woods surrounding Woodland Glade Huddersfield.

They are a voluntary organisation who work with the community to improve and preserve the Woodlands of North Huddersfield. They are involved in the copsing and path creation and general tidying rather than major tree felling work.

They are happy to welcome new volunteers and everyone is welcome, although because of the nature of the work under 12s must be accompanied.

As a result of their local knowledge they are able to provide lively walks through the woods with details of the History of the woods and the varied flora and fauna (very pretty when the bluebells are out).

Guided walks also on Saturday mornings at 10am. Short circuit through woods, approx 1 hour.;

Contact Tel. 01484 532594 for further details.

Meet/Open: Sat 9am-1pm (approx.)
